I’m honored to have a sonnet and short story published by @clayjar.review in their 4th issue. Not many Christian literary journals find the balance between authenticity and hope, but this one does so with splendid, well-worded grace. I’d love for you to read my pieces, follow their account, and explore the work of other writers. The problem with arranging satisfying music is that then I’ve made more for myself to practice…🥲 Thoughts on this arrangement of “Holy, Holy, Holy”? This celebratory version is perfect for an introduction or a final verse! Painting and penguins go together, obviously. I’ve been enjoying writing my own little introductions to hymns, transposing theological concepts into musical ones. Today, for Pentecost Sunday, I used imitation between voices (passing the melody from key to key) to represent the gospel being proclaimed by diverse tongues, tribes, and nations.
