Happy Easter! I’ve had Luther’s favorite hymn stuck in my head, which is a far better caption than anything I could come up with. 🙌🏻 I have very rarely had a bad performance due to being unprepared. I have, however, flubbed quite a few due to over-preparation. I have been known to work myself into a frenzy, playing the same difficult passage over and over and over again until I have effectively unlearned it. What’re you looking forward to playing or singing this Sunday? Some lyrics I wrote last year- I figured they fit the current liturgical season! Would you be interested in hearing them set to music? But we’re all called to sing and to lift our voices in wholehearted worship, regardless of the style. Assuming the lyrics are biblical, when we don’t immediately or constantly like our church’s music, we need to commit to participation, preparation, and perseverance.
