About

Ryanne J. Molinari is a professional musician and author based in Eastern Iowa. Sundays are a bit busy as she leads worship at one church before dashing across town to worship at Prairie Bible Church, where her husband, Billy, is lead pastor. In addition to ministry, Ryanne maintains a full schedule as a collaborative pianist and organist, accompanying student, community, and professional ensembles. She constantly finds that her musical work inspires her writing and that her writing reinvigorates her love for music.

Ryanne received her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance (minor in organ) from Biola University. She continued to earn her Master of Letters in “Theology and the Arts” from the University of St. Andrews, Scotland. Her master’s dissertation focused on musical practice as a spiritual discipline, and her scholarly work has been accepted by publications such as The Journal of the T.S. Eliot Society (UK) and Transpositions: Theology, Imagination, and the Arts. Ryanne and her husband are currently pursuing their Doctor of Ministry degrees from Covenant Theological Seminary.

Over the years, Ryanne has tried her hand at various literary genres ranging from short stories to personal essays to poetry to novels. She is the author of Spirit-Filled Singing: Bearing Fruit as We Worship Together (Crossway, 2025).

When she is not writing or rehearsing, Ryanne enjoys distance running, exploring used bookstores, and DIY home projects. In all things, Ryanne aspires to cultivate—to borrow a phrase from G.K. Chesterton—”an active and imaginative life.”
